Privacy Notice

What happens to the information you send through this website — what is collected, why, who else is involved, and how long it is kept.

Last updated 10 October 2026

Publication status

This notice explains what this website collects, why it is collected, who processes it and how long enquiries are kept. Section 01 names the company that operates the website, section 05 explains how long enquiries are kept, and section 06 names the service providers involved. This notice has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer.

  1. Who we are

    TUOFAN is a brand used on this website, which is operated by 陀凡表业(东莞)有限公司. That company handles the enquiry process this notice describes.

    The site is a business-to-business website: it explains how watches are developed and manufactured, and it is written for brands, designers and businesses rather than for consumers.

    For anything in this notice — including a request about information you have already sent — write to the address in section 10. Privacy requests go to the same mailbox as a project enquiry.

  2. Information we collect

    There is one place on this website where you can give us information about yourself: the project enquiry form. Everything listed below comes from that form. No other page collects anything.

    The form asks for:

    • Your name — required, so that a reply can be addressed to someone.
    • Your email address — required, and the only guaranteed way for us to reply.
    • Your brand or company, your country or region, a telephone number, and how you would prefer to be contacted — all optional, and none of them is needed to submit a brief.
    • What you tell us about the project: its stage, a working name, a description in your own words, what material or prototypes already exist, whether this is a new project or a change of manufacturer, the watch direction you have in mind (type, movement, case size, case material, water-resistance target, bracelet or strap, anything unusual), the quantity you are considering, and when you hope to launch.
    • Your acknowledgement that you have read this notice, which the form requires before it will submit.

    Several of those answers are free text, which means you can write whatever you think is useful. Please do not send us anyone else's personal information, and do not send payment details, identity documents, or anything else of a sensitive nature. We do not ask for it, and we would rather not hold it.

    Alongside what you type, the message we receive records when it was submitted and which page it came from. The form attaches nothing else: no IP address, no device information and no location are added to the brief by this website.

    We have not built analytics, advertising or tracking technologies into this website, and our own pages set no cookies for those purposes. That describes the site as we wrote it; it is not a claim that nothing else runs in your browser. This website is delivered by a hosting platform rather than served directly, and the platform adds a small script of its own to every page it serves. That script is not ours and we do not control it. Observed on this site, it made no request to any other site, it set no cookie, and it used a single local browser preference to remember whether the badge it displays had been dismissed. It is a platform badge, not an advertising or analytics service. We cannot promise the same in every browser and every configuration, which is why section 06 states how far this description reaches.

  3. Why we use it

    We use what you send us for one purpose: to deal with your enquiry. In practice that means:

    • reviewing the project you have described;
    • assessing whether we can support it, and how;
    • replying to you using the contact details you gave;
    • discussing specifications, development or manufacturing with you;
    • preparing follow-up communication, or a quotation, where that is appropriate;
    • protecting the site and our inbox from misuse, such as automated or fraudulent submissions.

    In plain terms, we use what you send in order to act on the request you have made: review the project, reply to you, and discuss what would come next. We have not named a formal legal basis for that use, because the appropriate basis depends on where you are and on how far a conversation has gone; naming one for every visitor would be less accurate than describing what we actually do. If this matters to your enquiry, ask us.

    The acknowledgement you tick before the form will send is not consent. It records that you have been told how the information will be used. It is not a marketing opt-in, there is no opt-in anywhere on the form, and ticking it subscribes you to nothing.

    We do not use your information for advertising, we do not build a behavioural profile of you, we do not sell or rent it to anyone, and we do not add you to a mailing list. Sending an enquiry is not a marketing subscription of any kind.

  4. How enquiry information is used

    When you submit the form, the server that runs this website validates what you have entered and sends it as one structured email to our business inbox. It is delivered by email. It is not written to a database, and it is not stored anywhere on the website itself.

    That email is read by the people who evaluate project enquiries. Nothing about your submission is published, and nothing is passed to a marketing system.

    The website itself keeps no copy of an enquiry: there is no enquiry database, no file store and nothing written to the server. The email is a real message, and it stays in the mailbox it was delivered to, where it can be read, forwarded, replied to and kept, exactly as any other business email can be. Not stored on the website does not mean the enquiry leaves no copy anywhere.

    We do not make automated decisions about you, and we do not score, rank or profile you from what you send.

  5. How long we keep it

    Enquiries reach us as email. When you submit the form, the enquiry is delivered to our business mailbox and it is kept there. We currently retain the enquiry emails we receive.

    No fixed deletion period has been established, and there is no periodic deletion schedule in place today. We are stating that plainly rather than naming a period we could not keep to. A watch project can pause for a year or more and then resume, and an enquiry is much easier to pick up again when the earlier brief is still available. Enquiry records may also be needed for ongoing or resumed projects, and for the related business records we keep. An enquiry is not deleted simply because it did not lead to a project.

    If you would like an enquiry you have sent to be deleted, write to sales@tuofanwatches.com, and we will treat it as a request about your information rather than as a sales enquiry. We do not promise that every such request can be completed immediately: the message sits in a live business mailbox rather than in a system built for automatic deletion. You can also ask what we hold, ask for it to be corrected, or ask us to stop using it — section 09 explains how.

  6. Service providers

    We rely on a small number of service providers to run this website and to answer enquiries. They fall into three roles:

    • the platform that hosts and delivers this website;
    • the provider that operates our business email;
    • technical providers needed to keep the site running and secure.

    Two of them handle information on our behalf. Netlify hosts and delivers this website, and runs the server-side code that handles project enquiries. GandiMail provides our business email service and handles the sending and receiving of enquiry emails. Both companies publish information about their own privacy practices, and each handles its part of the service under its own terms.

    An enquiry passes through both services. We do not claim that it is processed in any particular country, and we cannot tell you that a specific agreement governs what either company does with it. If either point matters to your decision to send an enquiry, ask us and we will answer you directly.

    We do not sell or rent your information to anyone, and we do not pass it to anyone for their own marketing.

  7. International processing

    The entity that operates this website is registered in China, and we receive enquiries from many countries.

    Your information may therefore be processed in a country other than the one you are writing from — where we operate, and where the services named in section 06 operate. We do not claim that your information stays within any particular country or region, and this notice should not be read as saying that it does. In particular, we are not saying that it stays in China, and we are not saying that it stays in Europe. Section 06 sets out what we can and cannot confirm about where your information is processed and under which arrangements.

  8. Security

    We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect what you send us. This website is served over an encrypted connection, the enquiry form is validated on the server before anything is sent, and the brief itself is not stored on the website.

    Email is not a perfectly secure medium, and no system can be guaranteed to be impenetrable. If you are unsure whether something should be sent by email at all, ask us first and we will find another way.

  9. Your choices and rights

    You do not have to use the form. You can write to us at the address below instead, and you can ask questions before sending anything.

    If you have already sent us something, you can ask us what we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or ask us to stop using it. Send the request to the address in section 10.

    We do not set a fixed response time for these requests. We would rather answer within a period we can actually keep than publish one we cannot, so no response period is stated here. There is no separate privacy department and no data protection officer: a request goes to the same mailbox as a project enquiry and is handled by the people who handle enquiries.

    Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under your local law. We will honour the rights that apply to you. We have not written this notice around the rules of one country, because the people who contact us do not all live in the same one.

  10. Contact

    Questions about this notice, and any request about information you have sent us, go to the same place as a project enquiry:

    • Email: sales@tuofanwatches.com
    • Telephone: +86 134 7998 7346
    • Address: No. 3 Shengping Road, Qiaoli, Changping Town, Dongguan, Guangdong, China

    This website is operated by 陀凡表业(东莞)有限公司, whose registered address is 东莞市常平镇桥沥昇平路3号.

    There is no separate privacy mailbox. A request sent to the address above reaches the people who handle enquiries, and it is dealt with as a request about your information rather than as a sales enquiry.

  11. Updates to this notice

    This notice is dated at the top of the page. When the way the website collects or handles information changes, this notice changes with it and the date changes too.

    The version published here is the current one. We do not keep earlier versions on the site, but you can ask us for the version that applied when you submitted an enquiry.
